The Sky Rider

The Sky Rider foam glider is made entirely of expanded polystyrene(EPS). The wingspan is around 54″. The wings are separate and removable, held in place by a hard plastic clip over the fuselage. The horizontal stabilizer is removable in one piece. It slides on from the rear and the slot is widened so that it is adjustable by rotating up and down. This one was purchased from Toys’R'Us for 4.99USD.

The Sky Rider launches easily by hand, glides smoothly, and is fairly durable. This glider is about as easy to operate as a frisbee or paper airplane. Anyone can fly it. After an afternoon of test flights it sustained only minor scuff marks on its nose. Since it requires no power it can provide unlimited hours of entertainment so long as it remains intact.
